ONE MORE TO GO

.... before we hit 50. There have been a few ideas on how to mark this with a special issue but more are welcome , especially if accompanied by a contribution of time or material to make it happen. Meanwhile there is Christmas and New year to process - our cover shot reinforces the traditional, but now, in the UK, largely historic link between these events and snow, with a SAS DC-9 card with some seasonal elements.

This issue does not have a big theme. My recent close acquaintance with packing and haulage suggested a follow up to Ian Hayward's article on current airline trends by noting the continuance of the postcard as a publicity tool for freight/parcels carriers - so we have a centrefold article called "Christmas Boxes". After Colin Cohen, Leonardo Pinzauti is our most profilic contributor and this time he topically visits the Ukraine as a change from Italian aspects. Colin himself returns with a selection of new finds. We have also sorted out the US contribution backlog so you get a double ration this time with the sections that US members received in July and October.
